Italy’s far-right Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini called for a ‘European Spring’ to overthrow the ‘French-German axis’ in Europe at a meeting with Polish dignitaries on Wednesday. Salvini told crowds in Rome last month: ‘We will provide the blood for a new European community based on respect, work, growth and equality.’
